DRIFTING
METTE HENRIETTE

PROMOTIONAL
DESIGN

Mette Henriette, a Norwegian artist, is renowned for her distinctive fusion of jazz, contemporary classical music, and experimental soundscapes. Her debut album, Drifting, showcases her expressive and delicate saxophone playing, which evolves slowly, guiding the listener through moments of tension and tranquility. The album invites personal reflection, blending vulnerability and strength in an emotionally immersive and introspective journey.

The aim was to capture the essence of space by dispersing elements around to emit that breathing space translating those tensions between calm and expansive spaces. The visual direction is playing with space and the feel of traveling and wondering through the unknown.

The goal was to capture the essence of space by thoughtfully dispersing elements throughout the composition, creating a sense of openness and allowing the space to breathe. This approach translates the dynamic tension between moments of calm and expansive, almost limitless spaces. The visual direction further explores this theme by focusing on the feeling of travel and exploration, evoking a sense of wandering through the unknown. It’s about immersing the viewer in an experience that feels both expansive and intimate, with each element carefully placed to guide the journey through uncharted territory.
